6. Child Custody and Visitation Orders

When a party requests custody or visitation and has not established a
parent-and-child relationship under Fam C §6323(a)(2)(B), but has taken steps to
do so under the Uniform Parentage Act (UPA) (Fam C §§7600-7730), the court
may make appropriate custody and visitation orders under the UPA. Fam C §6346.
